APPROVAL OF THE PUBLIC SESSION MINUTES OF JANUARY 31, 2007

III. ANNOUNCEMENTS

A. Executive Director - Effective this meeting, responsibility for the Board of Acupuncture Examiners will be transferred to Executive director Renee Clark.

B. Renewals - Renewal notices will be mailed to all licensees on April 2, 2007. Renewals will be done on-line through the "MyLicense" program. Those seeking to renew their license using a paper renewal must make a request through the Division of Consumer Affairs automated system. Licenses will expire on June 30, 2007.

IV. ACUPUNCTURE EXAMINATION

The next administration of the full clinical Examination will be Friday, April 20. Two examiners will be needed.

V. CREDENTIALS ISSUES

1. Li Sheng Wang - following last meeting, the attached letter was sent to Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang has again submitted a letter requesting that his program be accepted for licensure.

2. Alex Leyberman - Mr. Leyberman has submitted an application showing both a "Bachelor of Professional Studies" and an Master of Science in Acupuncture from Touro College issued in 2006. No other Bachelors degree is present, although the transcript shows transfer credits from Brooklyn College. The applicant reports that representatives of Touro College stated that the program would meet New Jersey’s licensure requirements.
