Mission Statement
for
The New Jersey State Board of Architects

Protects & Serves - Individual consumers and businesses who use architectural services;

Oversees - The activities of Architects, the Landscape Architect Evaluation and Examination Committee and the Interior Designer Evaluation and Examination Committee;

Enforces - The statutes and regulations governing architectural practice in a fair, expeditious and uniform manner;

Ensures - Those professionals who enter the practice meet high standards of competency through education, experience and examination;

Empowers - Consumers by providing information and educational materials to enable them to make informed decisions;

Establishes - Regulations of practice for those who are licensed to practice; and

Requires - That any person practicing architecture or offering architectural services be licensed and adhere to all applicable statutes and regulations.
