PUBLIC MINUTES

ROLL CALL

PRESENT Anne Eckert, Nancy Schneider,Ann Marie Mazzu, Hilda Pressman, Kathlyn Conlon-Pignio, Granville Brady and Gerard Caracciolo.

ABSENT Louis Conte.

ALSO PRESENT Renee P. Clark, Executive Director

CALL TO ORDER The regular bimonthly meeting of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee was called to order at 124 Halsey Street at 11:30 a.m., all members having been notified of the time, date and place, and materials pertinent hereto having been provided.

SUNSHINE LAW In compliance with Chapter 231 the Public Law of 1975, notice of this meeting was given to the Trenton Times, the Star Ledger, the Courier-Post and the Record.

I APPROVAL OF MINUTES

March 13, 2008

A motion was made by Gerard Caracciolo to accept the minutes as written, seconded by Hilda Pressman. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

II REGULATORY ANALYSIS

After discussion Charles Manning, Regulatory Analyst will draft the proposed regulation for review at the next meeting.

III APPLICATION PACKET REVIEW

a. Temporary license application
This matter has been tabled for the next Committee meeting.

b. Regular license application
This matter has been tabled for the next Committee meeting.

c. Out of state license application
This matter has been tabled for the next Committee meeting.

IV LEGISLATIVE ANALYSIS

a. Assembly No. 2396- After review the Committee supports the Bill with recommendation that they consider Audiologists and Speech Therapists or teachers of the deaf as supplemental resources in the development of a curriculum. The motion was made by Gerard Caracciolo, seconded by Hilda Pressman. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

V APPLICATION REVIEW

a. Allan Majeski

Nancy Schneider made a motion to proceed to Executive Session, seconded by Gerard Caracciolo, to consider and review, applications, consumer complaints and other information received pursuant to the Committee’s investigative authority in order to determine whether violations of law, including Committee regulations, have occurred. The results of these deliberations will be made known when, and if, the Committee determines to initiate disciplinary or other enforcement actions. If the Committee chooses to issue a Uniform Penalty Letter, the action will be taken in Public Session immediately after the Executive Session.
