2. Three Postal Money Orders in the amount of $100.00 each were received from Mr. Gandy, Unlicensed, as the eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth installment of a civil penalty in the amount of $2,500.00 for violation of N.J.A.C. 13:31-3.3 and N.J.S.A. 45:5A-9. Payments started May 25, 2007 and the balance due is $1,200.00.

3. Check in the amount of $2,000.00 was received from Mr. Pittius as the first and final installment of a civil penalty in the amount of $2,000.00 for violation of N.J.S.A. 45:5A-9.

4. Postal Money Order in the amount of $300.00 received from Mr. Giaimo as the tenth installment of a civil penalty in the amount of $3,000.00 for violation of N.J.S.A. 45:5A-9 and N.J.A.C. 13:31-3.3. Payments started April 16, 2007 and the balance due is $600.00.

5. Check in the amount of $25.00 received from Mr. D’Arpa as the thirty-fifth installment of a civil penalty in the amount of $2,500.00 for violation of N.J.S.A. 45:5A-9 and N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 et seq. Payments started September 25, 2002 and the balance due is $1,625.00.

The sub-committee previously disapproved this course as the instructor did not provide enough details to qualify his experience to teach this course.

COMMUNICATIONS

HARRY ROSENZWEIG, LICENSE #4082

23. At its meeting held April 2, 2008, the Board reviewed a letter dated March 12, 2008, received from Harry Rosenzweig, License #4082, t/a Harry’s Electrical Service, requesting a waiver of the Continuing Education Courses for the 2009 to 2012 renewal period.

The Board requested that a letter be sent to Mr. Rosenzweig advising him that his request for a waiver is being held in abeyance pending receipt of medical documentation giving the dates he became ill and how long he will be under a doctor’s care.

As per the Board’s request, documentation was received from Mr. Rosenzweig.

DIVISION OF LAW BILLING

24. Memorandum dated May 13, 2008, received from Darlene Kane, Budget Officer, Division of Consumer Affairs, stating that for the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2008, the Board/Committee was directly billed for 105.1 hours of Deputy Attorney General/Paralegal Services totaling $15,411.31.

CEASE AND DESIST AGREEMENTS

25. Signed cease and desist agreement was received from Joseph J. Puglisi, t/a AJAY Appliance, Toms River, NJ. Signed cease and desist agreement was received from William Montalvo, Montalvo Landscaping, Park Ridge, NJ and Joseph Canova, t/a Joe C. Painter, Pompton Lakes, NJ, agreeing to include the language in his advertisement that all electrical work is "performed by licensed electrical contractors".

FIRE ALARM, BURGLAR ALARM AND LOCKSMITH ADVISORY COMMITTEE FEES

26. Board to review proposal to amend the fee schedule for the Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm and Locksmith Advisory Committee as set forth at N.J.A.C. 13:31A-1.4 in order to include a late renewal fee and a reinstatement fee for licensed fire alarm and burglar alarm installers and licensed locksmiths.

PROPOSED REGULATIONS

27. Board to review comments concerning the proposed regulation N.J.A.C. 13:31-1.2 et al. 13:31-5.
