I. RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. REVIEW OF RULES AND REGULATIONS PRIOR TO SUNSET

Submitted to the Council for review and approval is the final draft of regulations with incorporated changes prepared by Regulatory Analyst, Mariann Sheehan. Current rules and regulations will sunset October 3, 2008.

2. OTHER BOARDS ADOPTION AND PROPOSALS

Submitted to the Council for review are the following adoption and proposals:

a) State Board of Medical Examiners - Adopted New Rule: N.J.A.C 13:35-6.25 Cultural Competency Training

b) Law and Public Safety - Division of Consumer Affairs - Adopted New Rules: N.J.A.C. 13:45F Identity Theft

c) State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners - Proposed Amendments: N.J.A.C. 13:39A-3.1 and 9.3 Patient Records; Acceptable Course Offerings; Credit Hour Calculation. Comments period will expire on June 6, 2008.

II. REPORTS

1. LEGISLATION

Submitted to the Council for review, is a report received from Burt Liebman, Legislative Liaison, Division of Consumer Affairs, showing the history of bills on which the Council was asked to comment and legislative action taken during the quarter that ended on March 31, 2008. Also, submitted is a list of 2007 Pamphlet Laws pertaining to health care professions.

III. CORRESPONDENCE

1. AMERICAN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION (AOTA)

Submitted to the Council for informational is a copy of the American Occupational Therapy Association State Policy, Update, Volume 10, Issue 2.

2. NATIONAL BOARD FOR CERTIFICATION IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY (NBCOT)

Submitted to the Council for informational is a copy of the NBCOT, spring/summer 2008 Report to the Profession pamphlet.
