The OBCCR has a long history of working with individuals and community organizations throughout the state in an effort to address issues of conflict resolution, cultural diversity and community relations. In addition, the OBCCR acts as the administrative arm of the New Jersey Human Relations Council, a statewide group created by legislation to promote "prejudice reduction" education and address the problem of bias and violent acts based on the victim's race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender or disability.
