Mr.
Burd has an extended 20-year criminal history including
a 1993 federal conviction for multiple counts of wire fraud
and was sentenced to 78 months in prison. In addition, he
was indicted by a New Jersey State Grand Jury on December
12, 2000 for conspiracy, and multiple counts of money laundering,
theft by deception, and failure to file a New Jersey tax
return. The most serious charge in this indictment carries
a potential sentence of 20 years in prison. This indictment
remains pending. Mr. Burd's credit at various casinos has
been suspended due to his non-payment of approximately $2
million in debt. In February 2001, he was observed at a
casino using an alias of "Jeffrey Burns." |
