Please note: The grant application has been changed to include the e-mail address of the Project Director, Financial Director and Government Official. Grant approval letters with approved grants will now be e-mailed. This reduces our internal costs (postage, envelopes, paper etc.) and will accelerate the approval process. Thank you for your cooperation. If no e-mail address is provided, the letter and approved grant will be mailed (through US Mail) only to the Project Director.

Note: Grant funding will only be awarded to programs that are in line with federal and state traffic safety priorities.
Note: Effective March 1, 2008, qualifying nonprofit organizations will be eligible to receive funding for certain non-enforcement programs approved by the Director of the Division of Highway Traffic Safety. The criteria to qualify as a nonprofit organization eligible to submit an application and the procedures by which a qualifying nonprofit organization may apply for a grant will be set forth in regulations anticipated to take effect on or before May 1, 2008. These criteria and regulations will be posted in the near future.

Grant applications are accepted on an on-going basis. The Division awards full-year traffic safety grants according to the federal fiscal calendar (October 1-September 30). Grants of a shorter timeframe are also awarded to support statewide enforcement mobilizations (for example: Click It or Ticket and Drunk Driving - Over the Limit. Under Arrest.)

  Note: The deadline to submit a grant application for FY2009 (October 1, 2008-September 30, 2009) is March 31, 2008.
