The Labor, Personnel
and Community Affairs Section provides legal
representation and counsel to the Departments
of Labor, Personnel (including the Merit System
Board), Community Affairs and State; the Council
on Affordable Housing; the Government Records
Council; the Office Employee Relations; and
New Jersey Racing Commission. This representation
includes the administrative enforcement of New
Jersey labor laws and laws governing the safety
of buildings and facilities. A substantial portion
of the section's representation involves defending
court appeals of client agency decisions.
