Division of Criminal Justice to Be A Co-Sponsor of the Annual Association of County Youth Services Commission Conference

Conference to Focus on Gang Awareness

 

WHAT:
The Attorney General’s Office - Division of Criminal Justice will be one of the co-sponsor for this year’s Association of County Youth Services Commission conference. The theme of the conference is “Gangs: Gang Awareness Needing Group Solutions.” The conference will focus on the issues surrounding gang activity, and youth and parent involvement.

Attorney General Peter C. Harvey will be the keynote speaker. More than 300 representatives from law enforcement, family court, county healthcare, human services and community based organizations will take part in workshops that include, among others, “Strength in Numbers: Building a Community Coalition,” and “Gang Mapping: A State of the Art Tracking Technology.” Members of the Division of Criminal Justice will moderate a panel on Project Vision, the Attorney General’s new gang prevention initiative.

Directions

From Philadelphia:

Take the Ben Franklin Bridge to Route 38 East to NJ Turnpike North to 195 East (Exit 7A) to the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 105 to Route 36 East. Proceed through three traffic lights and bear off to the right at sign for Route 35 South (Asbury Park/Seaside Heights). Proceed through one light. Bear off to the right before the second light (Industrial Way). Make a left onto Industrial Way and go through light. Hotel is on the corner.

From Newark Airport and New York:

Take NJ Turnpike South to Exit 11. Garden State Parkway South to Exit 105, which puts you directly onto Route 36 East. Proceed through three traffic lights and bear off to the right at sign for Route 35 South (Asbury Park/Seaside Heights). Proceed through one light. Bear off to the right before the second light (Industrial Way). Make a left onto Industrial Way and go through light. Hotel is on the corner.

From Route 18:

Take Route 18 to exit 13B (Eatontown, Route 36 Exit) to second light. Make right onto Route 35 South to Industrial Way. Take U-Turn for Industrial Way, make left, cross highway. Hotel is on the corner.
