First Annual Division on
Civil Rights GLBT Conference:
"Protecting
Sexual Minorities from Discrimination in
Employment, Housing & Public Accommodations" |
|
What:
A public forum focused on the rights of
the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender
communities. Entitled “Protecting
Sexual Minorities from Discrimination
in Employment, Housing and Public Accommodations,”
the forum is the first of its kind ever
sponsored by the New Jersey Division on
Civil Rights, located within the Attorney
General’s Office. The event is the
product of a collaborative effort involving
the State, as well as a variety of advocacy
groups and non-profit agencies. The goal
of the program is educational—to
help share with attendees the legal protections
afforded to gays, lesbians, bisexuals
and transgender persons under State law.
The free conference will include a one-hour
training session on the law, and then
a 90-minute question-and-answer session
with a panel of lawyers and GLBT community
leaders.
When:
Today, Tuesday,
June 14, 2005, 6 p.m. to 10 pm (Registration
