NOTICE
OF PROPOSED RULES
|
|
Date
of Proposal:
September 8, 2005
Proposal Number:
PRN 2005-358
Proposal Description:
The
proposed rule would authorize a new type
of wager on thoroughbred horse racing
known as the “Choose N.” The
Choose N is a pari-mutuel wager requiring
that a patron select each of the first
place winners in a designated number of
horse races, with the letter “N”
representing those races in which the
patron must select the first place winner.
In this wager, the patron selects the
particular races to wager upon from a
designated pool of eligible races. Also,
the patron has the option of “buying
back” into the Choose N wagering
pool if he or she is eliminated as the
result of placing a losing wager, as long
as the number of races comprising the
Choose N equals, or is less than, the
eligible race remaining to be contested.
The proposed rule appears in the October
3, 2005 edition of the New Jersey Register.
