TRENTON – Attorney
General Anne Milgram and Criminal Justice
Deborah Gramiccioni announced a Trenton
woman associated with the Sex Money Murder
set of the Bloods street gang was sentenced
to state prison today.
Felicita Gee, 34, of Trenton,
was ordered by Superior Court Judge Thomas
Kelly in Mercer County to serve five years
in state prison. The sentence is pursuant
to Gee’s guilty plea to racketeering,
a charge contained in a Sept. 7, 2007 state
grand jury indictment.
At the Sept. 18, 2008 guilty
plea hearing, Gee admitted that she conspired
with others who were associated with Sex
Money Murder to distribute heroin.
Supervising Deputy Attorney
General Mark Eliades, Chief of the Division
of Criminal Justice Gangs & Organized
Crime Bureau, represented the Division of
Criminal Justice at the sentencing. Gee
was indicted along with 22 other individuals,
including the two alleged leaders of Sex
Money Murder in Mercer County and the alleged
leader in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
The Mercer County leaders,
Antonio Merritt, 28, and Bobby Williams,
24, both of Trenton, previously pleaded
guilty to first-degree racketeering. Williams
was sentenced on Dec. 5, 2008 to 12 years
in state prison. Antonio Merritt is expected
to be sentenced on Jan. 9.
The indictment stemmed from
a cooperative investigation by the New Jersey
State Police, Division of Criminal Justice,
U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Drug
Enforcement Administration, FBI, Mercer
County Prosecutor’s Office, Mercer
County Sheriff’s Office, Monmouth
County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean
County Prosecutor’s Office, Asbury
Park Police Department, Dover Township Police
Department, Ewing Police Department, Freehold
Borough Police Department, Jackson Township
Police Department, Lakewood Police Department,
Long Branch Police Department and Trenton
Police Department.
A second indictment obtained
in September 2007 charged 11 more gang members
in North Jersey, including all members of
the three-person state leadership committee
of Sex Money Murder.
