TRENTON - Attorney General
Anne Milgram and Criminal Justice Director
Deborah L. Gramiccioni announced that a Philadelphia
man was sentenced to nine years in state prison
today for possessing cocaine with the intent
to distribute it.
According to Director Gramiccioni,
Artur Burowski, 31, of Philadelphia, was ordered
by Superior Court Judge James Isman in Atlantic
County to serve nine years in state prison,
with 30-months parole ineligibility. Burowski’s
sentence is a result of his Jan. 13, 2009
guilty plea to first-degree possession with
intent to distribute cocaine.
In pleading guilty, Burowski
admitted that on Jan. 10, 2008, he possessed
seven ounces of cocaine, with a street value
of $8,400, which he intended to sell in Mays
Landing. Burowski was arrested that day in
the course of the distribution. The seven
ounces of cocaine were seized from Burowski.
Members of the New Jersey
State Police – Drug Trafficking Unit
South conducted the investigation. Deputy
Attorney General John Corson represented the
Division of Criminal Justice at sentencing.
