TRENTON
- Attorney General Anne Milgram and Criminal
Justice Director Deborah L. Gramiccioni announced
that an Atlantic County man was arrested today
for allegedly tampering with witnesses in
connection with a pending insurance fraud
investigation.
According
to Insurance Fraud Prosecutor Greta Gooden
Brown, Kenneth M. Choseed, 44, a New Jersey
licensed public adjuster, allegedly advised
his clients and others not to speak with detectives
from the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor
in relation to an ongoing insurance fraud
investigation. Choseed, a resident of Mays
Landing, was arrested at his home this morning.
He was subsequently transported to the Atlantic
County Jail pending bail set at $85,000.
An
investigation was opened after receiving a
referral alleging multiple acts of insurance
fraud related to property damage claims. Choseed
allegedly sought to interfere with this investigation
by repeatedly advising his clients and others
not to cooperate with the Office of the Insurance
Fraud Prosecutor.
Choseed’s
New Jersey public adjuster license enables
him to handle property damage claims on behalf
of property owners. He is listed as the owner
of Public Adjusters of New Jersey, Inc.
Choseed’s
arraignment is scheduled for April 8, 2009
in Hamilton Township.
