Un Ex-Agente de Policia de Egg Harbor Township, es Sentenciado por Conducta Deshonesta en sus Servicios

TRENTON – Un ex-agente de la policia de Egg Harbor Township fue sentenciado despues de ser encontrado culpable de mantener relaciones sexuales con una prostituta mientras se encontraba en servicio.

Ex -policia Richard Cavanaugh, de 45 años, residente en Egg Harbor Township, fue sentenciado a dos años de libertad condicional por el Juez de la Corte Superior Albert J. Garofolo en el Condado de Atlantic. Cavanaugh se declaró culpable el 27 de marzo pasado de conducta deshonesta (en tercer grado).

Cavanaugh perdio su trabajo al declararse culpable y debe renunciar a la pensión que acumuló durante 23 años de servicios en el Departamento de Policia. Asimismo sera prohibido de manera permanente de volver a trabajar en un empleo del Estado.

Al declararse culpable, Cavanaugh dijo que en diciembre de 2007 mientras cumplia con sus servicios como agente de policia, habia tenido relaciones sexuales con una prostituta en un hotel de Black Horse Pike en Egg Harbor Township. Vestia el uniforme y manejó al hotel un vehiculo con los emblemas de la policia.

Cavanaugh fue suspendido sin pago en octubre de 2008mientras estuvo pendiente la investigación.

El caso fue investigado por la Policia Estatal de New Jersey,Region del Sur.

La Fiscal General Milgram, agradecio la cooperacion del jefe de la policia de Egg Harbor Township, Blaze Catinia, por la cooperación recibida en las invesyigaciones.
