Proposal Number: PRN 2009-169

Proposal Description: The Office of the State Medical Examiner in the Division of Criminal Justice proposes to readopt in their entirety, without amendments, the administrative rules at N.J.A.C. 13:49. These rules provide, among other things, requirements and standards for autopsy examinations and other procedures and investigations by medical examiners, as well as eligibility standards, training and experience requirements of the positions of county medical examiner, deputy or assistant county medical examiner, and forensic pathologist.

Summary of Proposal: A summary of the proposed readoption is posted at www.state.nj.us/lps/ruleproposals.htm. The full text of the proposal is published in the June 15, 2009 issue of the New Jersey Register.
