Un Hombre del Condado de Morris es Acusado de no Cumplir con Facilitar Seguro de Compensación a sus Empleados

TRENTON – La Fiscal General Anne Milgram informó que un hombre del Condado de Morris ha sido acusado de no cumplir con facilitar el seguro de compensacion a sus empleados (workers’ compensation insurance coverage) y como resultado el Estado se vio obligado a pagar más de $253,000.

La Directora de Justicia Criminal Deborah L. Gramiccioni, dio a conocer que Mack Stevens, de 40 años, de Lake Hopatcong, fue acusado de no cumplir con proveer el seguro de compensación a sus empleados(en cuarto grado).

Entre el 7 de octubre de 2,003 y el 28 de abril de 2,009, Stevens, propietario deAccurate Paving,una firma de trabajos de pavimentación en Lake Hopatcong, no cumplió con las normas de proveer el seguro de compensación a sus empleados. El 8 de octubre de 2,003, un empleado de Accurate Paving sufrió un severo accidente mientras estuvo trabajando y requirió atención quirurgica y recuperación de 3 meses en el hospital.Como Mack Stevens no tenia la cobertura del seguro de compensacion de sus empleados ni de la persona herida, the New Jersey Uninsured Employers’ Fund fue obligada a pagar la cantidad de $253,770 para que el empleado pueda cubrir con los gastos incurridos en la recuperacion del accidente.

La investigacion efectuada por la Division de Justicia Criminal determine que al mes de abril de 2,009, la firma Accurate Paving y Mack Stevens aun no tenian la cobertura del seguro de compensacion vigente.

El Detective Gary O’Brien y el Vice Fiscal Mark Kurzawa condujeron la investgación de este caso.
