Proposal
Description: The Division of Criminal
Justice proposes to readopt without amendment
the Solid and Hazardous Waste Information
Awards rules, N.J.A.C.
13:80. These rules provide uniform procedures
and guidelines for programs established
by statute that offer monetary rewards to
the public for reporting violations involving
the improper transportation or disposal
of solid, hazardous, low-level radioactive
or regulated medical waste or improper discharges
into our ocean waters. The present rules
were scheduled to expire on January 13,
2011. However, by the filing of this proposed
readoption, the expiration date is extended
to July 12, 2011. The Attorney General has
reviewed these rules and determined that
they continue to be necessary, reasonable
and proper for administering the awards
programs.
