Un hombre del Condado de Atlantic es acusado de recibir propiedad robada

TRENTON - La Fiscal General Paula T. Dow y el director de Justicia Criminal Stephen J. Taylor informaron que un hombre de Atlantic City ha sido acusado de posesión de un vehículo robado con un número de identificación(VIN) que presenta signos de haber sido alterado.

El Procurador de la Oficina contra los Fraudes en Seguros John Kennedy,dio a conocer que Eduardo A. Gonzalez, de 32 años, de Absecon, fue acusado de recibir propiedad robada y alteración de la identificación del número del vehículo, ambos delitos en tercer grado.

La acusación de un Jurado Investigador del condado de Atlantic señala que entre el 14 de septiembre de 2006 y el 11 de enero de 2008, Gonzalez tenia en su poder un automovil Toyota Camry 2004 sabiendo que el vehículo habia sido robado. Asimismo, Gonzalez, sabía que el número de identificacion del vehículo habia sido alterado con propósitos ilegales.

Los Detectives Richard Lane y Héctor Montano, asi como el ex-detective Barry Riley y la Vice Fiscal Geraldine D. Zidow fueron asignados a la investigación de este caso. Zidow sometió el caso a un Jurado Investigador del condado de Atlantic.

Los delitos en tercer grado se castigan con sentencias maximas de cinco años de cárcel y una multa de $15.000 dólares.
