The
NJ Division on Civil Rights has scheduled
the first in a series of roundtables with
NJ's distinguished veterans from the American
Legion, Post 129 in Toms River, NJ on July
27th. The roundtable is scheduled for 6
PM.
The
Division's Acting Director, Assistant Director,
and a Deputy Attorney General who leads
the Attorney General Office's Civil Rights
Section will meet with the American Legion's
Post Commander and other top veterans officials.
They will discuss the Division's new Veterans
Outreach Initiative for veterans with disabilities
and address any discrimination related issues
affecting the veterans community.
Division
officials will also solicit input on how
it can expand the scope of enforcement and
outreach services to those who have experienced
unlawful discriminatory practices in the
areas of employment, housing, and public
accommodations.

Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
Similar
roundtables will be held at later dates
at other American Legion Posts throughout
the state.
