Woodbridge Township, Middlesex County - Yesterday evening, New Jersey State Police detectives working undercover arrested a North Brunswick man for lewd acts while on a bus en route to New York City. Errinson Medrano, 33, of North Brunswick, was arrested after an undercover operation was initiated to catch this repeat offender.

In the fall of 2011, a female victim was on board a bus and reported an act of lewdness. The suspect was never identified. On Thursday, September 9th, 2012, the same victim was on board a bus traveling from Rutgers University (New Brunswick) to New York City and observed this same suspect committing lewd acts again. She contacted detectives who set up surveillance in an attempt to catch the suspect.

On Tuesday evening at approximately 9:30 p.m.,undercover detectives observed Medrano committing lewd acts on the bus and immediately arrested him. He was taken off the bus at the side of the road and taken by troop car to Cranbury State Police Station on the New Jersey Turnpike.

He was charged with stalking, harassment, and lewdness, and lodged in the Middlesex County jail in default of $20,000 bail.

After he was arrested and identified, detectives learned that in 2007, troopers from the same station arrested Medrano for lewd acts on another bus traveling the same route to New York City.

Anyone with information that could assist this investigation is asked to contact detectives
at 609-860-9000

Cha rges are merely accusations and the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
