El Gobernador Christie Nomina a Robert Lougy como Fiscal General Interino del Estado

Trenton, NJ – Hoy, el Gobernador Chris Christie anunció la nominación de Robert Lougy como Fiscal General Interino del Estado (Acting State Attorney General), sucediendo a John J. Hoffman efectivo Marzo 14.

Lougy actualmente sirve como First Assistant Attorney General y tiene 10 años de servicio en el Departamento de Ley y Seguridad Pública (Department of Law and Public Safety).

“Robert es uno de los más dedicados servidores públicos en mi Administración y estoy orgulloso de anunciar su nombramiento como Fiscal General Interino,” dijo el Gobernador Christie. “Robert trae una fuente de experiencia y completa compresión de la oficina que ahora lidera. Su conocimiento y dedicación al servicio público será un tremendo aporte a la gente de New Jersey. Espero con entusiasmo que él se una a mi gobernación.”

Durante su tiempo de empleo, Lougy previamente sirvió como jefe de personal del Attorney General, delegado director, y Director Interino de la Division of Law. Él administró una plantilla de7,400 trabajadores y ha litigado numerosos casos de gran importancia en ambas cortes estales y federales, proveyendo aviso legal en asuntos centrales a esta Administración, incluyendo los derechos de los empleados públicos, educación, vivienda, y seguridad pública.

“Estoy muy honrado y conmovido que el Gobernador Christie me ha nominado para liderar el Department of Law and Public Safety como Acting Attorney General,” dijo Lougy. “Prometo fomentar el trabajo excelente del departamento, especialmente construyendo encima de la relación de confianza que hemos desarrollado con nuestros colegas en las comunidades, con los implementadores de la ley, e interesados, y continuaremos colaborando con ellos para hacer nuestras ciudades y vecindades más seguras.”

Hoffman, que ha servido como Acting Attorney General desde el 2013, ha dejado la Administración por una posición como senior vice presidente abogado general en Rutgers University.

Un residente de Cranbury, Lougy se graduó de Pennsylvania State University en 1994 y como abogado de la Columbia Law School en el 2002. Antes de unirse a la Attorney General’s Office, trabajó como defensor público en Essex County.
