Troopers Arrest Bridgeton Man For Multiple Burglaries

Stow Creek Township, N.J. - State Troopers from Bridgeton Station arrest a man in connection with three burglaries that he was alleged to have committed hours before his apprehension.

On January 28, 2014, Tpr. Jay Sherby was patrolling in the area of Shiloh Road and Roadstown Road, in Stow Creek Township, Cumberland County, when he observed a man, later identified as Joseph Fahrnbach, 38, of Bridgeton, N.J., run from a white pickup truck, across the road, and into an abandoned building.

A short time later, Tpr. Sherby and assisting troopers were able to locate Fahrnbach next to the abandoned building. After an investigation at the scene, Fahrnbach was arrested and subsequently transported to Bridgeton Station for processing.

Further investigation at the station revealed that Fahrnbach had committed two additional burglaries within the Cumberland County area. In addition, a search of Fahrnbach’s pickup truck revealed that he was in possession of burglar tools.

Joseph Fahrnbach was charged with Burglary, Criminal Attempt, Criminal Mischief, and Possession of Burglar Tools. He was lodged at the Cumberland County Jail in default of $50,000 bail with a 10% option.

Area residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to Bridgeton Station at (856) 451-0100.
