Police Seek Identity of Convenience Store Robbers

Burlington County - Over the past two months, nine convenience stores were robbed by what police believe to be the same subject. Numerous photos have been obtained from surveillance camera footage that show the same black male wearing a thin moustache and having an obvious dark scar or mole on his left cheek. With the help of the public, State Police are hoping to identify this dangerous subject and an accomplice who worked with him on several of these robberies.

The following is a summary of the robberies:

November 8, 2003 - Same subject accompanied by another black male robbed the Wawa store on Woodlane Road in Westampton Township. One subject placed a knife against the abdomen of the store clerk and demanded money. The subjects fled the area with the stolen cash. A maroon vehicle was seen leaving the scene and entering the Tarnsfield Development. Some evidence of the crime was discovered in the Pennypacker section of Willingboro.

November 19, 2003 - Same subject with mole or scar on left cheek robbed the Country Farms store on Woodlane Rd. in Eastampton Township. He produced a knife while demanding money and fled with the register proceeds.

November 24, 2003 - 6-12 Mini Mart on Woodlane Rd. in Eastampton was robbed by the same subject at 3:30 p.m. The time of day differentiates this crime from the previous. This incidence is being investigated by Eastampton P.D.

November 27, 2003 - These same two men from November 24, 2003 crime robbed the Wawa store at US206 and SH38 in Southampton Township. During this incident, one of the men implied that he had a gun under his coat and he ordered the cashier to open the register. The men took the cash and fled the store.

On December 1, 2003 - A lone black male robbed the 7-11 store on Haines Mill Rd. in Delran. Showing a large knife, he ordered the cashier to open the register.
