DOP • PROS (Department of Personnel On-line Resume Service) is an exceptional on-line program, which benefits both job seekers and those appointing authorities seeking to fill job vacancies. DOP • PROS allows permanent career service employees to be successfully matched with job vacancies within the Merit System, enabling employers to pick from a pool of qualified candidates. The Program maintains a bank that holds titles and qualifications of employees seeking jobs without revealing the names of the job seekers. Merit System employers can use the bank to help fill positions. DOP • PROS gives employees the opportunity to “advertise” their skills via the internet. This is a great way for employees who are laid off or at-risk to search for new merit system jobs. Employers, on the other hand, have the opportunity to seek permanent employees who are available for work and seek those candidates who are willing to work in the geographical area where the vacancy exists.
