The COP-2-COP Intervention Hotline is not only a 24-hour hotline. It also offers other services for employees and their families.

Peer Support
A peer support group is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. The staff consists of full-time employees and volunteers who are trained and/or experienced in the public safety field.

Clinical Assessments
The program has developed an extensive assessment program that enables the staff to successfully determine the correct procedure for initial callers. The hotline has adapted a responsive callback program, which provides a ten-day follow up call after the initial contact.

Stress Management
The Stress Management Program is a workshop offered by the clinicians to requesting agencies.  The program can run anywhere from one to three hours long and is offered mainly as an educational program that enables management to be able to identify signs of stress and warnings of suicide.  The clinicians from the program developed the curriculum in accordance with the ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) general guidelines .

Referrals
To assure that all persons receive appropriate assistance beyond the abilities of the staff, the program has comprised a list of over 110 network clinical providers throughout New Jersey . Additionally, there are twelve out-of-state providers, administrative/legal services and practitioners. Seven of those providers also offer inpatient treatment programs if necessary.
