The Division of Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action was created to ensure equal opportunities for all State employees and applicants seeking employment with a State agency.  The Division is responsible for developing policies and procedures to ensure that these individuals are not subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability or liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States .  The Division is also responsible for developing policies and procedures prohibiting sexual harassment.  In addition, the Division is responsible to ensuring that each State agency develops equal employment opportunity and affirmative action goals for minorities, women, and persons with disabilities.
