Commissioner Rolando Torres Jr. joined fellow cabinet officers at a seminar, August 24, 2006, held at the Newark Law Academy, to speak about a career in law. The seminar series, entitled Law & Government in Action, is intended to educate Newark students about practice areas and the skills required to be successful practitioners in law. Other panelists included Nina Mitchell Wells, Secretary of State; Ronald Chen, Public Advocate; and Annette Quijano from the Office of the Governor’s Counsel. The event, sponsored by the Newark Public School System, was attended by students, family members and attorneys.
