Commissioner Rolando Torres, Jr. hosted the New Jersey State Public Service Recognition Program Ceremony honoring more than 1,200 employees for their outstanding service in the following categories: Longevity, Community Service, Co-Worker Recognition, Customer Service Excellence, Exceptional Service, Professional Achievement, Teamwork/Partnership, and Heroism. Additionally, the first annual “Suggester of the Year” award was presented to Mr. John White, Juvenile Justice Commission, for having saved the state a total of $32,668.
The Commissioner was joined on stage by The Honorable Richard J. Codey, New Jersey Senate President, and Miss New Jersey-America, Georgine DiMaria. Kent Manahan, the senior news anchor for the New Jersey Network (NJN), acted as Master as Ceremonies for the awards program.
“We depend upon our state workforce to safeguard our children, care for our most vulnerable citizens, and to protect our families and the environment. Our public service employees deserve our gratitude and respect,” said Commissioner Torres.
