The Long-Term Economic Monitoring Program is a cooperative project administered by the Pinelands Commission and funded by the National Park Service.  The fundamental goal of the Long-Term Economic Monitoring Program for the Pinelands is to continually evaluate the health of the economy of the Pinelands region in an objective and reliable way.  This goal is accomplished by two means: through the publication of an annual report of indicators, and through the commissioning of periodic special studies. The annual report takes the “temperature” of the regional economy, while special studies take a more in-depth look at specific topics.
