The AARP hosted an "Affordable Utilities" seminar at the Trenton War Memorial on March 24, 2003. Ratepayer Advocate Seema M. Singh served as a panelist along with Governor James E. McGreevey, BPU President Jeanne Fox, Verizon President Dennis Bone, AARP State President Marilyn Askin and AARP's Chief Executive Officer Bill Novelli. The panel spoke about energy assistance programs available to senior citizens, including the Universal Service Fund, Lifeline, LIHEAP and NJ Shares.
