Information Systems
The Information Systems Unit is responsible for the daily operation
of the Department's computer network. The Department's network spans five sites which are connected to each
other and the Internet via the Garden State Network. Some of the applications supported by the Information Systems office are content management, collections management, job costing, billing and records management. Presently, Information Systems
is engaged in implementing a new collaboration infrastructure and upgrading all the desktop computer to Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003. The new collarboration environment consists
of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Live Communications Server and Microsoft Exchange.
