Additional Training Initiatives

  1. Bimonthly Program Manager Meetings
    Suggested Training Topics: Developing Member Career Plans, Program Sustainability, Raising Project Funds, and Project Initiatives such as V-Free Grants

1A. Bimonthly Program Managers Conference Calls
Discussion of Efficient Training Methods, Development of Training Tools, and Collaboration of Ideas among Program Managers

  1. Ongoing Technical Assistance with available and appropriate commission staff and CNS T/TA providers.
    Possible TA Needs: WBRS Training, Developing Outcome-based Goals and Evaluation Tools, Staff Management and Office Systems Coaching, etc.
  1. Program Peer Exchange and Joint Training Meetings
    State Commission may provide training assistance for joint training sessions. Suggested topics: Conflict Resolution, Organizing Community Clean-ups and other activities, Basic First Aid, and various cultural and speakers bureau topics. Encourage member peer exchange programs and projects.
  1. Provide training opportunities through State Theater and other organizations, as appropriate.
