A statewide symposium, held in May 2006, devoted to expanding the reach of New Jersey’s arts and history organizations to increase audience participation, build alliances and partnerships, meet the needs of diverse communities, and develop strategic public relations and marketing campaigns.

ArtsPlan NJ, A blueprint to create better New Jersey through and for the arts. The on-going Arts Plan NJ Implementation program is a co-sponsored project of the NJ State Council on the Arts and ArtPRIDE NJ Foundation. The plan was first adopted in 1998 and through it great things were accomplished. For the New Jersey State Council on the Arts it led to major changes in the mission as well as tremendous expansion of programs and services. It also led to the creation of The New Jersey Cultural Trust, the Discover Jersey Arts Marketing Campaign, major advances in statewide education reform, a battery of new programs and services for artists and more. Through a massive statewide process Arts Plan is now being refreshed. For more information.
