On September 29, 2009 Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells presented the 2009 Public Archives and Records Infrastructure Support (PARIS) Grants Program Awards for Excellence to nine New Jersey local governments for a variety of outstanding records management projects.

The ceremony recognized counties and municipalities who did exceptional work in building and improving the infrastructure of their local government archives and records management functions during the program’s third year, 2007-2008.

Awards went to the following New Jersey local governments in nine separate categories:

Shared Services - awarded to Somerset County
Public Online Records Access - awarded to Monmouth County
Records Management Website - awarded to Salem County
Historical Records Focus – County - awarded to Bergen County
Historical Records Focus – Municipal - awarded to City of Trenton
Disaster Preparedness, Prevention & Recovery - awarded to Hunterdon County
Enterprise-wide Imaging Systems – County - awarded to Hunterdon County
Enterprise-wide Imaging System – Municipal - awarded to Cherry Hill Township
Special Award: Artemis - awarded to Monmouth, Salem, and Warren Counties
