Governor Signs Executive Order

 

Governor Jon S. Corzine signs an Executive Orderthat adopts twenty seven recommendations of a report issued by the Committee on Native American Community Affairs

"Native Americans are a part of New Jersey's history and cultural fabric," said Governor Corzine. "To honor these ties, we are adopting the recommendations of the Report of the New Jersey Committee on Native American Community Affairs. As the report indicates, government needs to do better at recognizing the rights, needs, history, and cultural identities of these groups. I am indeed proud to sign this Executive Order so that we can improve the lives and opportunities for Native Americans throughout the Garden State." More...
