Next year will officially mark the 100th anniversary of America’s entry into “The Great War.” The NJHC and its statewide history partners are thrilled to be working in collaboration with the national World War 1 Centennial Commission to commemorate New Jersey’s extraordinary and invaluable contributions to the war effort and subsequent Allied victory….but we need your help!

In addition to an array of written content and interactive details on WW1-specific sites and locations across New Jersey, the NJHC is working on a calendar of events celebrating the WW1 centennial throughout the state in 2017.

If you are a New Jersey history organization or other public entity planning an event based on the WW1 commemoration, please send them along! All we’ll need are some brief specifics: the date, time, location, fee (if applicable), and brief 2-3 sentence overview of the event. All information can be emailed to NJHC staff member Shawn Crisafulli under the subject “NJ World War 1 Event”.
