Workshops for 2014-2015 General Operating Support Grant Applicants Set for February

The New Jersey Historical Commission is offering three workshops for the 2014-2015 round of General Operating Support Grants. These free workshops take place in February and provide an overview of the process including a demonstration of the System for Administering Grants Electronically (SAGE). The workshop locations and registration form are provided below.

Workshops will be held on the following dates and times:

Parking at Rutgers University is limited.
Participants may also use the Gateway Garage and the Farren Daily Deck.

FY 2014-2015 General Operating Support (GOS) Grant Guidelines

These grants provide general assistance to historical organizations, museums, historic sites, archives, libraries, and similar organizations with collections or programming relating to the history of New Jersey.

The deadline for filing an Intent to Apply is March 1, 2013. The deadline for Applications is April 5, 2013. All applicants will be notified of grant decisions in July 2013. Successful applicants will receive notification of the grant award for FY 2014 and a provisional commitment to fund for FY 2015.

The New Jersey Historical Commission's grant programs are determined through an independent, third-party peer review process. Funding for these grant programs is made possible by a portion of the revenue produced by the state's Hotel/Motel Tax legislation.
