DINO SAFARI
12 Noon (45 minutes); Auditorium
Tony Miskowski, an educator with many years at the New Jersey State Museum, presents his legendary program on Dinosaurs and other fossils. Tony always includes current newsworthy discoveries, including those from the State Museum's own scientists.
MAD SCIENCE: UP, UP, AND AWAY
1:00 PM (45 minutes); Auditorium
This program will capture the audience's interest and show how exciting science can be. Included in the show are a variety of eye-popping demonstrations and experiments. Some of the topics and demonstrations include the three states of matter, air pressure, (using the Madgeburg Sphere), a Hot Air Balloon, the Mad Science Hovercraft, a giant vortex generator, and finally the Big Sneeze demonstration.
FOSSILS IN CHINA
2:00 PM (45 minutes); Auditorium
New Jersey State Museum Curator David Parris describes his work in China during 2007. Supported by a grant from the American Association of Museums, he was able to become fully immersed in the natural history and culture of northeastern China, comparing it to the more familiar (but equally exciting) natural history of New Jersey!

PLUTO'S MESSENGER: NASA'S FIRST MISSION TO THE DWARF PLANET AND THE KUIPER BELT

Michael Dean Lewis is an active Solar System Ambassador for New Jersey, representing the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of the California Institute of Technology. His presentations cover a variety of space exploration topics with the latest available information.
