GENRE: Drama

STUDIO: Vice Films

DIRECTOR: Sam de Jong

EXEC PRODUCERS: Rosie Perez, Vincent Landay, Danny Gabai, Jim Czarnecki & Eddy Moretti.

SHOOT DATES: Starts July 10, 2017 for 4-6 weeks, talent will work a few days in that range

SYNOPSIS: New York. Goldie, a precocious teenager in a family shelter wages war against the system to keep her sisters together while she pursues her dreams of being a dancer. A story about displaced youth, ambition, and maintaining your spirit in the face of insurmountable obstacles.

There is a role in the script for a character named Lindsey. She's supposed to read in her 60s, but we are open to ages 50-100+. It;s also open to all ethnicity. Lindsey is the lead Goldie's blind neighbor. She is super warm and grandmotherly. She opens the film with Goldie. We are interested in creating representation by casting someone who can relate to the character's blindness in some capacity.
