Folk Arts Master Artist Award Nominations

In Recognition of the 20th Anniversary of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Folk Arts Program, We are proud to announce the Folk Arts Master Artist Award.

For 20 years, the State Arts Council has supported folk artists and folk arts programs to help preserve and share the array of traditional cultures represented statewide. To commemorate this anniversary, the Council has partnered with WheatonArts to offer the Folk Arts Master Artist (FAMA) Award to honor one exceptional master folk artist who has significantly impacted New Jersey's diverse cultural and artistic landscape.

This $10,000 award recognizes lifetime achievement, artistic excellence, and contributions made to New Jersey's folk and traditional arts through community engagement.
