Trenton, NJ – Governor Jon S. Corzine, Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells and Education Commissioner Lucille E. Davy will host a ceremony on Monday, November 20, dedicating the New Jersey Department of Education building to honor U.S. District Court Judge Robert L. Carter.

Judge Carter, now 89, is a pioneering civil rights attorney, an architect of the legal strategy in the Brown v.  Board of Education case and a champion of equal educational opportunity for all children.
