ARTS STUDENTS ALSO TO PAY TRIBUTE TO DR. KING THROUGH MUSIC & DANCE
Trenton - Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells will join Camden officials and students who are committed to keeping the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. alive and combating violence plaguing their communities during a youth and Victory rally. The theme is “Overcoming Violence, Vandalism and Victimization.”

During the youth rally, winners of the recent Victory Project Art Poster Contest, another V-free initiative, coordinated by students at Creative Arts High School, will be recognized for their creativity and contributions to make a difference. The V-Free Mini-Grant program was designed to help students develop projects and promote activities aimed at fostering positive environments in their schools and communities that are free of violence, vandalism and victimization. Any student or youth group, with the help of a teacher or advisor, can apply for a mini-grant. Funds range from $1,500 to $3,000 for projects taking place from September 15, 2006 through June 15, 2007.
