Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells will recognize New Jersey’s AmeriCorps members who have served in communities through the state during program year 2008-09. AmeriCorps is the national service program that provides service in the priority areas of education, human needs, environmental protection and homeland security. Workshops will follow on topics related to career and educational options.

Recognition Luncheon
Keynote Speaker: Lt. Colonel Jerome Hatfield, Deputy Superintendent of Homeland Security, NJ State Police.
The AmeriCorps members will also be recognized by Dr. Anthony Campbell, Dean of Students at Rider University, who is the Chair of the NJ Commission on National and Community Service, which guides and oversees the AmeriCorps program.
