Task Force Schedule: A Summit on Steroid Use and Prevention for State high school athletic directors and other school administrators shall be convened this winter.  The Summit will serve to educate school personnel about the issue of teen steroid use and about concrete steps they can take to eliminate the problem in their individual schools.  This Order shall take effect immediately. Governor Richard J. Codey cordially invites you to attend The Governor’s Summit on Steroid Abuse and Prevention Date: Tuesday November 29, 2005 Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm Place: Student Center, Rutgers University, New Brunswick Campus 126 College Avenue New Brunswick, NJ Purpose: The Summit will provide coaches, athletics directors, as well as student assistant counselors and other interested educators the opportunity to learn about the dangers of steroid use. The Summit will also highlight the work of the Governor’s Task Force on Steroid Use and Prevention. Guest speakers will discuss and answer questions regarding steroid use and possible preventive solutions. Guest Speakers: Governor Richard J. Codey Monsignor Michael Kelly , Chairman, and other members of the Governor’s Task Force on Steroids   Mr. Donald M. Hooton, Sr. , Chairman, Director and President of the Taylor Hooton Foundation Dr. Linn Goldberg , Professor of Medicine, Oregon Health and Science University, ATLAS and ATHENA steroid prevention programs Mr. Douglas Collier and Mr. Michael Pasterchick , Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Agency’s Office of Demand Reduction Peter King , Sports Illustrated columnist and HBO’s Inside the NFL commentator Athletes from the National Football League and other speakers have been invited to participate.
