Board of Public Utilities (BPU)

Mission

To ensure that safe, adequate, and proper utility services are provided at reasonable, non-discriminatory rates to all members of the public who desire such services. To develop and regulate a competitive, economically cost effective energy policy that allows for responsible growth and development without compromising the environment and quality of life in New Jersey.

The Board will report key performance indicators across the following Core Missions:

  1. Assure Safe and Reliable Utility Service Delivery
  2. Promote Affordable and Effective Utility Service
  3. Promote Clean Energy Sources
