Up NJ' campaign off
of I-78 in Springfield
Township to
address concerns including
litter, unmowed grass
and other vegetation
blocking sight lines,
graffiti and in long
term, unsightly rusted
bridge structures.
NJDOT will focus existing
resources to make a
noticeable difference
in targeted areas,
some of which have
been identified by
legislators and other
elected officials who

crews worked to install
new median barrier
along I-195 in Upper
Freehold, Commissioner
Simpson announced that
NJDOT has reached a
milestone in its objective
to install 189 miles
of crossover barriers,
providing motorists
with complete crossover
protection on all Interstate
and freeway medians
of 60 or fewer feet
in width. A total of
134 miles of new median
protection has been
installed statewide
in recent years. Seen
