Whitman Voices Support for
Truck Enforcement Legislation
"I'm pleased that Senator Bill Schluter and Assemblyman Leonard Lance have introduced legislation today that will provide penalties for trucks that violate the state's ban prohibiting 102- inch trucks from travelling on our local roads.
"I'm proud to say that with this legislation, New Jersey will have the nation's toughest fines against large interstate trucks that take advantage of our local roads and congest our communities. It's a move by our legislators that will ultimately make our roads safer for everyone travelling here.
"The truck enforcement study commission called for in the bill will ensure that New Jersey remains at the forefront of this public safety concern," she said
