I-76 lane closure to begin on Wednesday, April 5

Weather permitting, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will close a lane of traffic on I-76 westbound over Route 130 in Gloucester City, Camden County from 8:00 PM on 4/5/99 until 6:00 AM on 4/11/99. This closure is necessary to pour concrete for the noise wall on I-76 over Route 130.

This closure will cause delays for motorists traveling on I-295 and Route 42. With this closure in place, I-76 westbound will have four lanes open instead of five. Due to the configuration of the roadway, the lane closure will extend into exit 26 (the ramp from I-295 southbound to I-76 westbound).

The NJDOT will be working around the clock to complete this work in 6 days. The lane closure will allow the noise wall to be completed in this area. Motorists are advised to expect delays.
